Supporting Young Talent

posted in: News | 0

We continually look to develop our enterprise coaching programme are delighted to have enlisted the support of two undergraduates from Bradford University, Isra who has moved from Blackburn to study Psychology and Camille who has come from Lille in France to study Business & Management.

They are carrying out research into the enterprise aspirations of young adults, helping us better understand the barriers that many face when looking to set up in self-employment or indeed to get quality jobs with decent prospects. Already they have come up with interesting findings, Camille says, “It’s been interesting to learn how little work and enterprise experience young people get in the English educational system, though most surprising of all is how many have no idea how easily and quickly they can travel to other cities rich in opportunity, with some who have lived here in Bradford all their lives thinking it takes about 2 hours to get to Leeds”.

We will be publishing more of our findings in future issues and hope to work with partners to come up with some exciting and engaging initiatives to provide tailored support for our talented young people. If anyone has any thoughts or would like to support developing enterprising ideas please do get in touch, we’re here to help.
