Neighbourhood Management is making a real difference to our communities. The Neighbourhood Action Team is working closely with residents in delivering the four Neighbourhood Action Plans for the area. The Neighbourhood Wardens have been a resounding success. They are the eyes and ears of the community and deal with a wide variety of issues relating to community safety and the physical environment. On patrol they look out for problems such as fly-tipping and graffiti, they make reassurance visits to victims of crime and run and take part in campaigns to improve the environment.

The Neighbourhood Wardens co-ordinate the Looking Good Campaign - an on-going drive aimed at involving people in maintaining and improving the physical environment.

The Trident Executive Officer, Neighbourhoods has been instrumental in co-ordinating Neighbourhood Management activity and linking this with district wide initiatives. Over the next few years this will become even more important as new ways of influencing change in our neighbourhoods are developed and implemented that will make sure the gains that have been made are not lost.
