The story so far.... Education

‘I feel my kids are getting the best possible start. The facilities at school are top quality.’ Little Horton resident Yasmin Begum .

Educational standards in the area are up across the board since 2001.

Trident has invested heavily in education. Money has been put into buildings such as the School Community Extensions at each of the eight primary schools serving our communities.  12 Study Centres give children from 10 to 18 years old a quiet place to study and do homework.  IT equipment has been installed in scores of community venues and Learning Mentors have been appointed at all schools that our young people attend.

Bursaries of £750 a year are available for Trident residents going on to degree courses at College or University, every Bradford Trident 10 or 11 year old is offered the chance of a residential trip and day outings from their primary schools and through the Excellence Challenge Primary project children and their families are given a taste of the benefits of university educationand life at businesses in the area.
Community Director and Vice-chair of the Trident Board Nawaz Khan says, ‘The continuing improvements in educational achievement are a good sign for the future well being of our neighbourhoods.’
